Energy Purchasing:
Energy Advocate Consulting will solicit bids from energy suppliers that seek to maximize cost savings to the customer; while at the same time insuring that the contract terms are a good fit with the clients business and budget management objectives. Primary focus is on natural gas and electric utilities as well and oil and propane where applicable. In this phase EAC seeks to achieve immediate and long term savings for our customers with reputable alternative energy supplies. Unlike other energy firms that improperly refer to themselves as “consultants” EAC seeks supply bids from several sources for presentation to the client. EAC works to insure that the customer is fully aware of different pricing and terms available to them.
What may seem like the lowest price may not always result in the maximum savings available. For customers with multiple locations that are served by different utilities EAC will insure that each location is served by a supplier that maximizes their savings. In some cases EAC may find that staying with the local utility or dividing the bid among several suppliers to be in the client’s best interest. Many “energy consultants” are fronts for a single supplier only interested in selling a customer on their pricing and terms. Savings of between 20% and 50% of energy purchases have been realized by EAC clients.
EAC also has the experience to manage complex energy purchasing strategies for clients such as hedging, curtailment and supply aggregation.

Facilities Energy Management:
Energy Advocate Consulting works with our clients to find cost savings through a reduction in energy consumption. Each therm of natural gas, kilowatt of electric or gallon of oil not consumed results in 100% bottom line savings to the client. EAC’s certified energy consultants methodically survey a client’s facilities to determine where energy consumption can be reduced. Some key areas that are surveyed include lighting, HVAC and boiler systems as well as industrial manufacturing equipment where applicable. After having identified energy reduction opportunities EAC works with the client to map out all energy reduction projects and prioritized them by several important factors including client needs and ROI.

Project Funding:
Energy Advocate Consulting will also look to find federal state and local project funding and tax credits to maximize ROI for any energy savings project. Being able to identify opportunities and apply for grant money is an area where EAC delivers meaningful savings and value to our clients. EAC has delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars in rebates and tax credit to our clients. These rebates and credit opportunities result in increased ROI and in some cases clients have seen ROI paybacks of less than 18 months. Some recent EAC successes include a church receiving a utility sales tax refund of $4,700.00 and a corporate building owner getting a Tax credit of $114,000.00.
EAC engineering staff and approved vendors will oversee and manage energy project installation and implementation to insure successful outcomes to our clients.
